Qatar will host the FIFA World Cup 2022. The opening fixture against Ecuador will be played at Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor, Qatar, on November 20. They had originally been scheduled to play on November 21st, but the FIFA Council announced on August 11th that the Bureau of the FIFA Council had unanimously decided to move the opening match and ceremony of the tournament to Al Bayt Stadium one day earlier.

The fixture will be preceded by England facing off against Asian giants Iran at the Khalifa International Stadium.

The defending champions France will face the winner of the Inter-confederation playoff between UAE/ Australia, and Peru.

Brazil, five-time record winners, and part of Group G clash in their first encounter, while Portugal who qualified from the European playoffs, faces off against Ghana.

Canada is the first team from CONCACAF to qualify for FIFA World Cup 2022. They will be taking on Belgium in the round one match.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 Round of 16 will be held from December 3rd to December 7th, while the quarter-finals will take place December 9th to December 11.

The semi-finals are scheduled for December 14-15 and 15. The bronze final is set for December 18.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 Final will take place at the Lusail International Stadium on December 19.
